How does it work?

Our VPBX service is hosted at a secure data centre in London with high speed internet connectivity. The IP Phones at your office connect to our VPBX service (VoIP server) via your internet connection. Incoming calls to your phone number is routed over the PSTN to our VPBX Service and then over the Internet to your phone. Outbound calls take a similar route out to the PSTN. You are only billed for calls travelling over the PSTN network, therefore calls between extensions and retrieving voicemails are free.

What do I need?

You will need the following:

  • VPBX Account
  • IP Phones
  • Stable Broadband connection
  • Router, switch, network cabling depending on your layout
  • Power sockets

Some phones support PoE (Power over Ethernet) and also have built in switches, which mean your network & power requirements may change.

Q. Do we offer a Service Level Agreement (SLA)?
Yes we can depending on the situation, but we do not cover your internet connection (you will need a separate SLA from your ISP)

Q. What is the call quality like?
We offer business grade call quality; however, you will need to ensure your internet connection is up to scratch.

Q. I have a specific requirement for my company; can you cater for that?
Yes we can. Our VPBX platform supports IVR and we can build various custom applications for you depending on your needs.

Q. We are a larger company; can we still use something like this?
Our VPBX will not be the best option in this case; however, we can provide you with an on-site VoIP PBX. Please contact us for more information.

Q. Can I call emergency services?
Not yet. The main problem with emergency services is that we cannot provide location information. We highly recommend you have alternative arrangements in case you need to dial emergency services.

Q. Can I call any normal phone number and can anyone with a normal phone call us?
